A GUIDE TO THE NEW RENAISSANCE

Chapter Six

THREE GREAT LAWS

One of the most important Laws of all growth and development is, "If you wish to become something or someone, you should attempt to act as if this desire were already an accomplished fact." Although this Law at first seems like some form of self-deception, upon further examination its truths begin to emerge.

Everything about us is controlled by the vibratory forces that enfold us. We all live in a sea of vibrations. If a youth thinks of himself as a store clerk, those are the vibrations he sends to all around him. On the other hand, if he desires to be a physician and is clerking to put himself through medical school, he does not think of himself as just a clerk, but as an embryonic doctor, who happens to be clerking to pay for his education. The vibrations broadcast by these forms of thought images are entirely different. This difference is felt by everyone around him.

The world in main is made up of two types of people: Those who think they are not worthy of the privileges and opportunities that life has placed before them and those who feel they never receive their just deserts. Very few are satisfied that they are rewarded or punished exactly as they deserve. If we are to accept as a fact the Biblical tenet that we reap as we sow, we must also accept our present position as our proper due.

The majority of the world's good people, now and in the past, fall into the first category mentioned above. It would seem that the Law has a much higher opinion of such good people than they have of themselves. It well could be that the humbleness they show is an important part of the quality of being good.

Of the other group there is little to say. Once a person begins to harbor the thought of feeling that the world has treated him unfairly or that in some way the world owes him a living, all future progress in every field is stymied until that attitude can be improved. This is the predominant thought pattern of most welfare recipients and as such dooms them to a continuance of their present misery unless they can pull themselves out of this destructive mental quagmire.

THE LAW OF BECOMING WHAT YOU DESIRE

Of the two groups mentioned above, you no doubt are more inclined to belong to the first group. Very few of the second group would find this book of sufficient interest to have read this far.

If you are of a self-effacing and humble mind, you may not find it easy to accept the fact that you really have the power to accomplish that which you desire to do and to become. This has always been the greatest stumbling block for the neophyte of any Order. There is almost always a tendency to exalt the abilities and powers of others and to deprecate those of ourselves. This was commented on time and again by the Nazarene in his dissertations with his disciples. "Oh, ye of little faith," was a common comment from this Great Master.

The man who is admired as one of the greatest Americans, if not the greatest, is Abraham Lincoln. Yet his biographies speak openly of his admission of fears of inadequacy. Such is only human. It is indeed, as mentioned before, the badge of all true greatness. Therefore, be not ashamed of your feelings of inadequacy. They are the stuff from which comes all exalted human activity.

All knowledge comes to each being in this world the same hard way, through experience. The secret of power is to not make mistakes, but to learn from each experience. The Law will guide us each step along the way if our heart is pure. The wisest and most self-assured individual alive is only a smidgen ahead of you if what he knows is compared with all there is to know. If he is truly wise, he knows this also and will be ever willing to assist all who come to him for help, realizing that only God is wise and all else is but folly in comparison.

From the foregoing, we may conclude that all humans have the ability to achieve greatness if they but set their minds and hearts on the matter. The difference between the exalted human and the ordinary good-hearted soul is not that great. This difference can be narrowed further by practice of mentally being already that which you desire to be. This process is the secret used by all who achieve greatness in any field. It is one of the more subtle advantages of an academic education. When an individual graduates from college, he is told he is prepared to pursue his chosen work. Because he believes it, he acts as if he had the skill that in actuality will come only in time as he practices his profession. The assurance he displays is transmitted to others, and this allows him to draw to him the clients he requires.

Admittedly, some graduates are not able to create this positive attitude, and they have a great deal of trouble in getting their careers off the ground. Not that they are not as well trained as their fellow classmates, but they are unable to live in such a way that the world already thinks of them as having the qualities they desire.

Granted, there is a fine line of distinction between acting as if we already have certain qualities and misrepresenting our abilities, but this distinction is no more difficult to make than many similar ones we constantly encounter in everyday life. For this reason, the motto of the Great Work is TRY. There is almost nothing we can be assured of knowing completely. The nature of Earth life precludes this. Therefore, the most that even the Law of God Itself asks of us is that we TRY our best. If this is sufficient for God, should it not be satisfactory for the rest of us?

Thus, not only to assure our place in the New Renaissance, but also to help us advance each day to the best of our ability, we want to learn to think and act as if we were already there. To some extent, the New Renaissance, as with all such times, is an individual state of mind. One can put a man with a guilty conscience in the most beautiful and congenial place imaginable, and he will not be in Heaven but in hell. Unless we first build the New Renaissance within ourselves, we will never be able to enjoy it in the outer world.

Each of us is a microcosm of the outer macrocosm of God Himself. Therefore, we are capable of truly making our own little world as complete as we would have it. It is ours alone to mold and fashion. As each of us does this, the vibrations we produce will in time begin to have an effect in the outer world, for the Hermetic law cannot be suspended. That which we create in our inner world will soon be reflected to the outer and bring similar changes there.

Does such seem too simple and not quite within the realm of possibility? Know this, there has never been a true change in the outer world that did not first come from a change in the hearts of men and women some where. This change begins to produce vibrations that first draw to these individuals more of like mind. As these harmonize with this desire for change they, in turn, draw others to them. Gradually these vibrations spread wider and wider until enough of the population have been affected so that an outer change is not possible but inevitable.

Both the American and the French Revolutions are examples of this Law in action. The rise of Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin show the dark side of this Law. As with all other Laws of Nature, this Law is neither good nor bad. It just is. The action of the law depends entirely on the direction of the thought applied. Always know, of course, that if this Law is used for injury, it will in time bring about the destruction of those who are using it. Remember, also, that good has power over that which is not as good. So if two forces in the world of similar strength are vying for the minds and hearts of the people, while evil may seem to have the upper hand at first, in the end good will triumph.

Thus, by the action of the Law, the suggestion that you act now as if the New Renaissance were already here is an entirely sensible concept. Not only will it help you at this time, but it also can be an important part of the creation of the New Renaissance itself. Nothing can come from nothing. All that we know in this world must come from some preexisting substance. The New Renaissance must come from the remains of the Old Dispensation. Even God Himself did not make the world out of nothing. The first chapter of Genesis records that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, indicating that waters existed for God to use as raw material. From all accounts of Creation we rapidly conclude that God took undifferentiated matter and formed it into structures that were able to fulfill His desire for an orderly Universe.

As we each live our lives as if the New Renaissance were already here, we actually bring it into existence. First in our own lives, then in the outer world. If we expect other people about us to live up to the same criteria that we do, we shall at first be very disappointed, for most will still be thoroughly entangled in the meshes of the Old Dispensation. But as time passes, we shall find more and more who will begin to lean our way. This is the nature of the Laws with which we are attempting to work. "The laborer is worthy of his hire" only after he has completed his work satisfactorily. We, therefore, have little reason to think that we can have much effect on the world until we have rebuilt our own inner consciousness in the mold of the New Renaissance. Once we have reached this state, we know that our own pure thoughts and vibrations will issue forth to the world to start the healing that is much needed here. The physician's healing balm does not correct immediately. Likewise, it takes some time for our efforts to reap their effect. But we know they must do so in the order of things.

THE LAW OF TRANSMUTATION

The most important single factor to assure a place in the New Renaissance is to understand and apply the Law of Transmutation. Because very few in the world at the start of this New Dispensation had prepared themselves - or have prepared themselves today - to be a part of the age to come, it has been necessary for the great majority to change mortality into Immortality. The process that is capable of bringing this about is Transmutation.

To understand Transmutation we must first realize the nature of the substance of the world. Everything in the world was created by God, the Creator. Since He is, in truth and in fact, the embodiment of all that is good, everything that He created must be good and constructive. This being so, it would be a sacrilege to attempt to destroy anything that God created. It is, therefore, only man's misuse of these gifts from the Creator that produces what we call evil, harm, or sin.

Any attempt to destroy that which we think of as evil is automatically in and of itself an infraction of the Law. It is our duty, obligation, and privilege not to destroy evil but to change it into good. This is easy to understand when we realize that evil is but good perverted or diverted in the same way that a stream of life-giving water may be diverted. We recognize that it would be extreme folly to attempt to destroy the water just because it is not flowing where we wish it to flow. As sensible beings, we put forth efforts to redirect the stream so that its life-giving forces can be used to our advantage.

This is exactly what we must do with the adverse thoughts and desires that fill our mind and hearts. Each of these is but a once-pure stream that has been diverted by our ignoble purposes. There should be no attempt to do away with these thoughts and desires, only to redirect them so that we may once again drink of their refreshing waters. This process of redirection is Transmutation.

In an unabridged dictionary, the word, transmutation, is defined as the changing from one nature to another. and so it is. We change from the ways of the carnal world to those of all that is beautiful and pure. Interestingly, many dictionaries still carry the more ancient alchemical meaning of this word which was the conversion of base metals into gold. It was, in fact, the Alchemists who first gave us this concept and coined this word. The base metals of the Alchemists were neither more nor less than the adverse thoughts and emotions we have been referring to, and the gold is the perfection or redirection of these same qualities into all that is pure and good.

From these same Alchemists we also learned that matter can be neither created nor destroyed, only changed. This scientific law is also in accord with Divine Law, as are all true laws of man. It is this Law of Nature that is the foundation upon which the Law of Transmutation rests.

If we can neither create nor destroy anything made by God, we must learn to use the things we have about us now to our best advantage. According to this Law, we cannot destroy evil even if we desire to do so. The more effort we put into destroying evil, the stronger the total of evil grows. Why? Because all efforts to destroy are destructive and wrong. Can we really expect one evil to overcome another? The Nazarene was well acquainted with this Law when He said, "Resist not evil." Admittedly, there are many times we must choose the lesser of two evils and ultimately all must be turned into good through the law of Transmutation.

The poet said, Truth crushed to earth shall rise again. This is true, but, perhaps unfortunately, the same is true of evil. Since it, like everything in the world, cannot be destroyed, if beaten to the ground, it will indeed rise again and again. Such is the Law.

Throughout history men have attempted to destroy other men either for personal gain or for self-protection. No matter what the purpose or intent, because one cannot really create or destroy, these same adversaries returned in other forms and in other lives to once again plague their former opponents. This reaction has been going on since the beginning of time and helps to explain the turmoil in the world today. We are seeing but the latest chapter in feuds that have existed from great antiquity.

The action of the Law during the next few years will put many of these feuding parties on hold, so that a New Earth can have a chance to be established. The adversaries cannot be held off forever and eventually they will return to this planet; at that time we must be prepared to teach them the Law of Transmutation so that they can change the enmity between themselves and their perpetual enemies into all that is good and productive.

The world is never ameliorated by vanquishing an enemy, only by converting him to that which is good. By changing the hatred and fear our adversary has for us into love and understanding, we are using the Law of Transmutation and increasing the good that exists in the world. Again, the Master of Galilee knew this well when he said, "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you." Evil feeds on evil and injury on injury. If we stop this cycle in our life, we are able to break this vicious circle, not only for ourselves but also for those who may be our enemies.

Throughout the world today old enemies are once again facing each other. The prophecy is that their mutual enmity will bring physical destruction to each as due retribution under the Law and thus clear the way for the New Renaissance. It is vital to all who desire to be a part of the New World to stay out of the "crossfire" from these two sides. Nothing good can come from interfering in these old feuds. Even if you are a part of the Karmic battle itself, you can remove yourself from that battle if you so desire by following the recommendations in this book.

THE PROCESS OF TRANSMUTATION. To know what should be done is one thing, to desire to do it is another, and to know how to do it still another. The process of Transmutation is, as a Great Master once said, "very simple, but not easy." We have within us many "rivers" which long ago we diverted and polluted. Each of these in its turn must be cleansed and redirected so that it once again becomes a fit tributary of the headwaters from whence it sprang. As each is purified and set on its rightful course, we find that we as individuals are to that extent revitalized. The whole is indeed equal to the sum of its parts, and as the individual parts improve so does the whole.

We live each day in a sea of vibrations. These, whether we will or not, have a profound effect on our thoughts and moods. It is difficult to carry out the process of Transmutation in an environment of adverse or negative vibrations. It can be done, but it is unnecessarily difficult. To do so is like trying to figure your income tax in the midst of a noisy cocktail party.

The wise person soon finds that the more he can surround himself with the things that emit vibrations of beauty, peace, love, and order, the more rapid will be the process of Transmutation, all else being equal. There is no real excuse for not doing so. Poverty may keep some from many of the things considered desirable, but even this can be overcome in a variety of ways. Order and cleanliness can be a part of even the humblest home. Once these are established, the improved vibrations will bring the ability to achieve what else is needed.

Music perhaps should be the first consideration after order and cleanliness. The Beloved Creator has sent much of the Music of the Spheres to help man to peace and exalted ideals. Many men and women have been moved, even driven, though the ages to bring us great melodies, and never has it been easier for the common man to partake of this bounty. Record and cassette players are available at very reasonable prices, and records and tapes can be obtained free at most local libraries. Such a wealth of beauty was unavailable even to the greatest kings only a century ago.

For those of modest means, music systems of astounding fidelity can be assembled, which are capable of reproducing not only the substance of the music but also the vibrations of the instruments themselves without diminution or distortion. These vibrations have the ability to transfer the harmonious benefits of the music as well as those of the musician, and in such fidelity they are able to transmit the spirit given to the music. This same transmission is, of course, achieved at a live concert, but many feel a good recording played back on quality equipment is more intimate and, therefore, contains the portent of being more Spiritual.

When we speak of music, we speak of that of the great masters, not of most of today's output. The music of today is made to sell and as such is designed to appeal to the basest part of the human nature. It is indeed one of the most insidious factors destroying the integrity of the American moral character. It is, as admitted by its own advocates, written to stimulate and incite the emotional nature of its hearers. It is meant to reach not their mind or Soul but some aspects of the carnal nature we are attempting to transmute before they can do more harm.

A person can easily determine if the music that is a part of his life is beneficial by the reaction following the session. If a feeling of exaltation and contentment follows, the vibrations were as desired. If, on the other hand, these feelings are missing or have been replaced by those of anxiety, lust, or depression, he can be sure that the vibrations that bathed the body and Soul were not the best.

Besides music, many other forms of beauty can be used to aid in the process of transmutation. In addition to the regular studies in the Great Work, there are many fine works by authors who were moved by the hand of God to bring the written word in such a way as to exalt both heart and mind.

Perhaps the most prolific of these was William Shakespeare, although we recognize that for some he is an educated taste. Because he wrote in the form of drama and in a language that is considered archaic today, it takes effort to appreciate the humor and humanness of his works. Much, however, can be learned from their study, as he was without doubt the most insightful English-speaking author who ever lived. He was by many considered to be an Initiate. As it is difficult to explain his great gift otherwise, there is little reason to deny this claim.

All good and true authors attempt to hold a mirror to Nature. As they do this, we are able through them and their observations to learn what the world can be like without ourselves having to do all the living and suffering. Therefore, we see that great and true literature entertains, exalts, and teaches at the same time. For these reasons, the works of Shakespeare, Corelli, Bulwer-Lytton, Hardy, and Dickens are of such renown.

Not all literature is able to do this. Much is based on mere speculation and fantasy in that the action does not mirror Nature and is therefore at best a mild diversion. It is not of value for exaltation or education. A large part of modern literature falls into this category. This does not make it harmful, only superfluous. That which is true to life all too often takes a dim view of human nature and accomplishments and is therefore depressing in the long run. We have little need of this in our efforts to transmute our adverse emotions into the pure gold of love and compassion.

Modern technology has brought us a new form of vibratory influences in audio- and videotapes. These allow us to hear and see what we will whenever we desire to do so. Like every new advancement, they can be used for good or evil. We all have the right to purchase what we will and to use them as we feel the need. These two forms of communication will become increasingly prevalent in the years ahead, so it is wise to learn now to become their master instead of letting them become ours. Choose carefully whose voice you let into your house for the vibrations emitted into your environment may have a far greater effect on you than you can possibly realize. This even truer to a greater extent of the videocassette. By combining the senses of sight and sound, the videocassette is a powerful tool that can do much good if it is properly directed or much harm if its potential is used for evil.

It is not necessary to become involved in the newer technologies, however, to bring beauty into the home. God, through His handmaiden, Nature, has given us examples of His creativity everywhere. Flowers can become a part of the home during much of the year. When these are not available, other bits of natural flora can be brought in to add the vibrations of God to even the humblest home.

Rocks, shells, and pieces of driftwood can make up a natural formation to elevate the vibrations in a home. These are available to all, and each part of such a display is as perfect as anything in God's world, because everything the Creator made had His best efforts.

Such an external environment is, of course, only the outer suggestion for Transmutation. By themselves, the outer influences are powerless to help if there is not concerted desire and effort on the part of the individual to make the nearly constant transmutations. The Bible tells us to pray unceasingly. By this phrase is meant that we should monitor every thought and change (transmute) all thoughts that do not meet the standards that God has set for us.

At first, this may seem almost impossible, but it is not if one basic thought is remembered. The human mind can think of only one thing at a time. It can switch very quickly, but at any one moment only one thought can occupy it. In modern terms, it is a one-input computer and can handle only one program at a time. This being true, we can over-come adverse thoughts simply by replacing them with a more productive program. This is the essence of the art of Transmutation.

The most important factor to remember is to not attempt to put the adverse thought out of your mind. Do not, as the Nazarene said, "resist evil." The more you think of the adverse thought, even in an effort to dispel it, the stronger it grows. Such "weeds" must be given no water or fertilizer. Replace them instantly with flowers. That is the way of the Masters of the Ages, and it can be your way if you will but TRY.

Many persons find this difficult to do in this day and age because of all the bad news in the newspapers and on TV. My answer is simple and short, but surprising to many: DON'T READ THE PAPERS OR WATCH NEWS ON TV. Spend your time with inspiring music and uplifting literature. "But," you many exclaim, "I won't know what is going on." SO WHAT? Do you really think the world will fall apart if you don't know what it is about every moment? Try the following test: Do not read a paper or watch network TV for two weeks. Spend your leisure with classical music, fine literature, educational tapes and videos (if you have them), and in the general appreciation of Nature and the starry heavens above.

After the two weeks, go back to your papers and TV and see what you really missed. Most of you will find the world as you left it, a little older but not much wiser. On the other hand, when you examine the changes that have taken place in yourself during this time, I am sure you will be pleased. The average person cannot honestly pursue this experiment without definite changes for the good within.

At the end of the two weeks most persons return to the news of the world with a different attitude. The news is now able to supply them with information they may find useful in their life, but it no longer affects them as it did before. Also, once most persons have introduced the beneficial vibrations of music and the written and spoken word into their lives, these vibrations usually remain and in time take up more and more of their leisure hours so that there is less and less time for the contemporary forms of leisure.

Genesis reveals that God made the world out of chaos. This is also our destiny and goal. From the chaos within our own being are we to build our own Universe. This is accomplished by the same process that God Almighty used, that of Transmutation. He took chaotic, undifferentiated matter and changed it bit by bit into a Universe of beautiful and useful forms. This is exactly what we must do within ourselves. As we do this, our inner Universe harmonizes with that of the Creator and in time actually comes to blend with His. In the Arcane this is known as Illumination. It is one of the many achievements possible through faithfulness to the Law of Transmutation.

Persons who are faithful to the instructions given here will find that the thoughts necessary to transmute will begin to diminish. This is due to the fact that they will have set up in their minds and hearts a habit of thinking only of those things that are to the advantage of all humanity. This practice will effectively starve out in time the many adverse thoughts that might have otherwise occupied this mind.

Here we have the ultimate secret of successful Transmutation; if we constantly fill the mind with thoughts that are to the benefit of ourselves and others and to no one's injury, there will simply be no room for thoughts that would harm ourselves or others. A simple procedure, but one that cannot and does not fail.

"KNOW ALL THINGS, BUT REMAIN YOURSELF UNKNOWN"

The above is the admonition to all who would be Initiates. It applies equally well to those who would become a part of the New Renaissance.

The nature of the carnal human mind is to distrust anything it cannot understand. This distrust creates fear, and this fear leads to an attempt to destroy that which is feared. As on attempts to set himself apart from the rest of mankind by his or her desires for something more exalted than that understood by the mass. The opportunity for this distrust is created. If the displeasure of friends and relatives is not sufficient to detour us from our course, as is all too often the case, this distrust may in time turn to fear and finally to attempts to bring us down to the level of the mass.

There are sound physiological reasons for this action on the part of those around us. As long as no one we see and know pretends to desire anything more lofty or worthy than we do, all is peaceful within us. We are as good or as bad, as the case may be, as everyone else, so our mind is at rest. However, when someone tries to raise himself above the level of the mass, he suddenly disturbs this balance. His desire alone creates havoc in the established order of things and efforts are subconsciously made by nearly all who know him to help him to see the error of his ways. Should he continue with such "crazy ideas," further measures will be instituted to dissuade him. Finally, if he is still adamant, whatever action is necessary to destroy him and his ideas will be forthcoming.

The one traditional and effective way to prevent this series of events is to let no one know of the efforts that are being made to rise above the level of human carnality. The way of the Initiate is to say nothing, but to live life to the best of his ability. In this way, he does not make himself a target for the forces attempting to prevent mankind's advancement.

By saying nothing, he does not antagonize, but his example speaks louder than any words he might utter to those who are unsatisfied with the present order of things. From this wisdom the Arcane saying, "He who talks, does not know; he who knows, does not talk," derives its substance.

TO KNOW ALL THINGS. By remaining yourself unknown, the second portion of the admonition "Know all things, but remain yourself unknown" is fulfilled. But the first part is not so easily accomplished. To know all things is on the surface a large order. And yet that is what is required at all times for the accomplishment of becoming a part of the New Renaissance. It is our obligation and duty to be familiar with everything that might affect us if we are to be true to the practice of our Spiritual purpose. An Initiate is expected to be in control at all times. What is the value of such accomplishments if this cannot be done? To be in control it is essential to know what is going on. For this purpose men and women were given their present brains and five senses. If we do not use them, we make a mockery of the gifts of God.

There is a fine line between learning the ways of the world and becoming involved in its Karma. This is a line all persons must walk if they are to achieve the highest and become leaders of the New Renaissance. Although it is desirable to investigate all that is occurring in the world about us, we should be careful that the world does not draw us into it and depress us. Those who are not at this time sufficiently advanced, so that they are adversely affected by such investigations, should for the time being follow the suggestions made in the last section concerning abstinence from newspapers and TV.

Ideally, individuals who expect to be a useful part of the early New Renaissance should be able to be knowledgeable of all the events that are transpiring in the world without letting them interfere with their composure. This is somewhat like a good physician who makes every effort to understand and appreciate all the vital symptoms of a patient without taking the pain of such symptoms upon himself. The physician is helpful only as long as he is able to remain objective to the needs of the patient. At this time, it is essential that leaders of the New Renaissance become knowledgeable of the ways of evil, so prevalent now and in the future, but remain themselves apart and uninvolved so that they, like the physician, can be of service when the need arises.

During the next ten to fifteen years the evils we now know will steadily increase until they reach such a degree of intensity that they bring about their own destruction. In some areas this is already happening, but this activity will increase in coming years. Although many evils will be most open and blatant, some will be subtle and, in fact, will be considered a resurgence of good by many people. These latter evils will require much investigation by those who desire to follow the Law during these times. As an aid to these dedicated souls we have initiated The Randolph Society, (P.O. Box 77, Quakertown, PA 18051-0077, a nonprofit organization, to help distribute information on these matters to all who desire to be kept informed at this time.

Many believe they will be able to survive into the New Renaissance if only they hold the right thoughts and make themselves worthy individuals. To a large extent this is true. But if we stop there, we are not listening to the whole of the Law which declares, "Faith without works is dead." If we are not wise in the ways of the world, we can easily be swept away in the days to come by the insidious torrent of evil even now gestating in the winds, We need to know of the dangers to our physical and emotional being that are now and will be in the future a part of our world. To ignore these is to fail in our duty to God and ourselves.

The particular areas that will require our specific attention now and in the immediate years ahead are: Foods and their adulteration, continued pollution of our air and water, manipulation of our money supply, efforts to force all to conform to certain standards, and insidious destruction of moral values under the guise of "good sex."

Although "faith without works is dead," the converse is also true. Works without faith (in the Law) avail nothing. Many in the world today are as knowledgeable of the existence of the evils mentioned above as we are (some much more knowledgeable), but because they know little or nothing of the Law, they will find that even this cannot keep them safe during the trials ahead. They may be "streetwise," but this is not enough to survive the coming plagues. Many of the inverted inhabitants of our large coastal cities were streetwise, but the AIDS virus was beyond their ability to calculate. So will it be in the days to come with many other agents.

SUMMARY

Therefore, to summarize: First, keep your views to yourself at this time unless you have been given special instructions as a leader. Even here it is best to restrict your efforts to those you know are worthy of the New Renaissance. Second, make it your business to know what is going on in the world concerning the things that will affect your life and the lives of those who are your personal responsibility (your mate and children below the age of puberty). Learn to become knowledgeable without becoming adversely affected by that knowledge. Third, an organization has been established to help you gain the information you desire: The Randolph Society. Fourth, we have an obligation to protect ourselves from the evils of the day and have no right to expect God to do this for us if we do not do everything we can do first. Even this is not enough to bring us into the New Renaissance, however, if we do not also make ourselves worthy to be there by desiring to be a part of the New Age and by making the effort to change or transmute adverse feelings into all that is for the good of ourselves and all humanity.
