The abuse or misuse of the sexual function is the most common cause of man's degeneracy and feeble attempts to circumvent the Laws of God and Nature. No other subject has caused so much confusion among both men and women. Public attitudes toward sex are characterized by frequent sweeping changes. At one time the loosest and most liberal sexual attitude is at least tolerated if not openly advocated. Within a few years the pendulum swings in the opposite direction, and so-called Victorian public morals are in vogue.
The only conclusion to be drawn from this paradox is that neither view is valid and that both miss the real truth of the matter. If one were the correct approach, there would be no reason for the constant fluctuation between such liberal and strict attitudes.
There is some truth in both of these views, however, or neither would prevail. That they are severely flawed is proved by the fact that one is always succeeded by the other. Sex is not of itself a dirty or harmful act, although it certainly can become so by the manner in which it is used. When it is properly used, it can bring man and woman to the highest degree of nobility and Spirituality this world can know. On the other hand, sexual desires can be so misused that they have the power to rapidly destroy that essence of God within us, the human Soul.
THE THREE PURPOSES OF THE SEXUAL FUNCTION
When God created the sexual center of our bodies, He placed within it the potential for far more than we could ever realize. It being the nature of God to be frugal with bodily organs (the liver, for instance, has scores of known functions and undoubtedly numerous ones presently unknown). He placed in the creative center of man and woman as many possibilities for creation as He deemed vital to their ultimate destiny.
The first of these is recognized by all: That of procreation. The bringing into this world of bodies for returning Souls to inhabit. Although this purpose of the creative life is not to be deprecated, it is only the tip of the iceberg.
The second purpose of this center may be called the Re-Creative function. Please notice that this is not spelled recreative but Re-Creative. There is a vital difference. Despite the views of some religious leaders, who are completely baffled by the sexual function, sex does have a purpose other than procreation.
The Re-Creative function of sex is the ability to use the forces inherent in this act to vitalize and sustain the health of both the husband and the wife. When this power is used constructively in this manner, it has the potency to "burn out," not only many diseases, but even adverse traits and emotions that may be harbored in the human breast.
Nothing in this world is, of itself, good or bad. In the beginning God made all things and, therefore, all were good. "And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it WAS very good," states Genesis 1:31. Only after man attempted to transgress the Law, was put out of "Heaven" (the Garden of Eden), and was endowed with free will did the misuse of the "good" things of God's Creation bring evil, as we now know it, into the world.
Sex was no exception! This component of the earthly man created in him the strongest drive or incentive he could know, except that of the preservation of life itself. And in many instances even life itself has become secondary to the fulfillment of the sexual desires.
As there is in life nothing that is not good, except misuse makes it so, it is only logical to consider that God had a most important and noble use for such a powerful incentive. Again, what is Biblically referred to as the "seed" is the raw material of all the creativity resident in man. It is this "seed" in its various forms of manifestation that is responsible for different types of output available from the creative center. In its most material form this "seed" brings about the continuance of the race. In a more refined form it is capable of creating health and human ennoblement. This is called Re-Creation. And in its most refined nature this "seed" has the ability to bring man to a state of Immortality and Godhood.
These are the only three lawful uses of the creative center on a sexual level. Any other use is counter to the Divine Law and will bring with it the severe discipline of this Law. It is, of course, not God who brings this punishment, but reaction to the act performed, itself. It has always been so, obviously. In the early days of the human race even such simple Laws of Nature were beyond the comprehension of most of the mass, so the expedient of a punishing Father was used to reach the minds the hearts of the people. Because they knew well the wrath of an earthly father, this concept was easily understood even though it was not exactly correct. Today, even the masses are educated to a point that the truth of Divine and Natural Laws can be taught.
SEXUAL PRACTICES FOR THE NEW RENAISSANCE
As mentioned, nothing in this world is, by itself, good or harmful. Only the use to which it is put determines quality. If the sexual function is used to increase, ennoble, sustain and immortalize the human race, it is good. In fact, very good. On the other hand, if this faculty is used to degrade men and women, to cause injury, to weaken the body by misuse, and eventually to destroy the human Soul, it has become in truth the great demon as characterized by so many misguided teachers.
The nature of the sex act has within itself the ability to bless or to curse. There is, of course, nothing special in this, in that all Laws of Nature and God function in exactly the same manner. For example, take such a common element as fire. If this is controlled and used correctly, it is the salvation of man. Without, it he may freeze to death in some climates. Without it, he would not be able to prepare his food, and many would die of hunger. And yet, uncontrolled, this same force can rapidly destroy man's most cherished and beautiful possessions. Now, is fire good or bad? Is the fire used for good and life-saving purposes any different from the fire that can burn our house down? If we allow it to get out of hand, do we consider it God's fault? Or do we realize that it was our misuse of an inherently good thing?
Everything we have said about fire is also true of the sex function. It, like fire, is one of God's greatest gifts to His "sons," but it, like fire, is a tremendous force that must be controlled or it will destroy more than it will save and sustain. Like fire, sex has to be handled with care. But, unlike fire, we frequently don't know we are burnt until too late. Sex, like fire, does bring its own reaction of the Law and that reaction can be either good or bad, depending on the action and intent of the activity.
Sex used for procreation is accepted by most people as being within the Laws of God and, indeed, they are correct. Once we leave this safe ground, however, we sink into a morass of controversy. The only other God-ordained use of this function which most individuals would accept is known as Re-Creation. For this purpose, the sexual act is used to improve the health and vitality of both partners of a marriage. When used according to God's Holy Ordinance, the marriage act will increase the love between the couple, allow each to absorb the best qualities of the other, bring health if lost to either or to both, sustain and strengthen each, and finally help to eliminate adverse emotions and cultivate good and noble qualities.
To obtain such attributes certain rules must be followed, as is true with any procedure known to man. These procedures are of two major types: First, those that have to do with the physical requirements of the act, and, second, those that are more concerned with the intent involved.
The needs for the correct physical use of the sex function in sexual Re-Creation are simple, but man in his desire to circumvent the Law by a distorted imagination has created many complications. These physical requirements only ask that the sex act be carried out as God designed it with the male organ in the vagina of his wife and that nothing is allowed to prevent or compromise the exchange of fluids and energy that takes place during the climax.
Almost all the problems that have ensued over the years have been due to an attempt to prevent undesired offspring that frequently are the outcome of such natural use of this faculty. In fact, this desire for freedom from the natural consequences of the sex act brought about the so-called "fall of Man." This was indeed the "apple" Eve bit in the Garden of Eden.
THE USE OF CONTRACEPTION. There was a time when the Earth needed men of all kinds, and anything that prevented this was not considered good under the Laws of God and Nature. That time is past. The Law today is that the world needs good men and women, but procreation for its own sake is not now the end-all. Therefore, the use of contraception is now legitimate as long as it does not interfere with other more pertinent Laws.
Such contraception must not, for instance, interfere with the proper exchange of fluids between the husband and the wife. Nor should it be of such a nature that it affects the quality of substances involved, as certain foams, douches, and suppositories may do.
The contraceptive method most recommended under these precepts is the vaginal diaphragm when it is correctly used. Spermicide cream is placed only on the inside of the diaphragm (that side nearest the cervix or womb) and a neutral surgical jelly (such as K-Y®) is used on the rim. in this way, no chemical interferes with the exchange of the spirit of the sexual "seed."
For those who may not care to use the spermicide for fear that it may in time be injurious, the surgical jelly can also be used on the inside of the diaphragm itself. In over thirty years of private practice I have rarely known this system not to be as effective as the spermicidal method if the diaphragm is fit properly.
Two other well-known methods of contraception which do not interfere with the exchange of the vital sexual fluids should be mentioned. These are the contraceptive "pill" and the intrauterine device (IUD). The pill, although it is better now than when first introduced, still has too many side and unknown long-range effects to be recommended. There may be situations in which a woman really requires contraception, but for various reasons cannot be fitted with a diaphragm, so that the pill might be the lesser of the two evils. But such instances are rare.
The same circumstances surround the IUD. These little doo-dads have a nasty habit of causing infection, inflammation, and even perforation of the vaginal wall. Again, there may be that rare woman in whom this might be the lesser evil, but use of the diaphragm should first be given every opportunity to prove itself in the hands of a competent and knowledgeable health or medical practitioner.
THE LAW OF SEXUAL RE-CREATION
From this discussion it is obvious that many modern sexual practices do not fit within the criteria for a Re-Creative sexual life. Any type of sexual activity that does not fulfill the requirement that orgasm take place in the vagina of the wife cannot lead to Re-Creative sex. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
Although the rules concerning the physical laws of Re-Creative sex are simple and easily understood, though not necessarily greeted with joy, because they do not accept many common and frequently indulged sexual practices, those that relate to intent are much more obscure, thought certainly not of less importance. In the world of intent the two ruling factors are desire and effect.
As we enter the world of Re-Creative sex, we are as much concerned with the "thou shalts" as with the "thou shalt nots." It is possible to refrain from sexual practices that injure the body and Soul without actually creating positive result in the field of Re-Creation. This is, as it were, a negative good. The individual who would wish to obtain some of the benefits that may accrue to those who practice sexual Re-Creation must approach the martial union with a specific purpose in mind.
He must first understand what can be accomplished by these efforts. Then he must develop, within himself, a desire for those qualities and benefits that can be his from these practices. Lastly, he must put forth the necessary effort with sufficient consistency to obtain his desired objective. These "gifts" are freely given under the Divine Law, but they are not released until those involved are worthy of them. Such work is not for dabblers. They will find little to help them here. This is, however, no more true here than in any other similar activity of human endeavor. If one's wish is to learn any skill, such as becoming a fine pianist, it is accomplished only by the same rules, that is DESIRE - EFFORT - CONSTANCY.
THE BENEFITS OF RE-CREATION. If you are a man, think at this time what you might do with a bank account that would allow you to obtain anything material you wanted in life. Now imagine also that you had a magic potent that could help you cure all the ailments of your wife and yourself. Imagine, furthermore, this same potion also had the ability to enhance your manhood and increase your virility while also extending it into old age. Then, think what you would do if you had the qualities of leadership so that all men looked up to you as an example of what they wanted to become and your words became much respected in the community.
All these benefits and more are possible through the process of Re-Creation. You have within your creative center the power to bring into manifestation all that you can conceive if these forces are first concentrated and then directed toward the desired goal. This is a part of the Re-Creative activity. Within this center also lies the power to heal imbalances in the physical body of both your wife and yourself. This is perhaps the most widely used potential of this center.
As efforts toward RE-Creativity are made, the creative center itself grows stronger and increases in vitality. Therefore, greater ability is gained to create even grander benefits from this Re-Creative force.
During the act of married love an interesting effect gradually takes place. In time, the frequent exchange of sexual fluids between husband and wife begins to change the actual cellular structure of the two. The husband gradually absorbs the better parts of the wife's nature, and she obtains the same from him. This effect is sometimes so pronounced that the two may come in their later years to look more like brother and sister than husband and wife.
This same effect is also seen in the thinking processes of the two. As time goes on, they begin to function, in many ways, almost as one mind. One cannot help but wonder if biblical writers did not know what they were talking about when they wrote, "and the twain shall become one flesh" (emphasis ours).
With the continued practice of Re-Creative sex other qualities are developed. Positive vibrations of various magnitude and variety gradually come to envelope the nature of both the husband and the wife. These are felt by all who are also interested in the finer qualities of life. By the powers so developed this couple soon becomes a real force for good in the community first and eventually, if they desire, in the entire world.
DESIRE, THE KEY TO ALL. The power of desire is as simple as the turning knob on a television or radio. The mind is always on and is always tuned to something. The station may be very weak or it may be strong, but there is always some desire in the mind of man. Even the mind of the idiot is filled with thoughts and desires. They just are not useful or productive.
We have the ability to tune our set to the station we wish. This tuning is performed by the process of desire. This desire must at times be encouraged by our mental direction. For example, if you have never heard of a certain program, you probably have little desire for it. But if you hear friends discuss a new wonderful show on TV, suddenly a desire is stimulated to tune in. You do so. If you like the program as much as your friends do, you probably will tune it in again, and soon a habit is developed.
It is the same with sexual RE-Creation. You must be interested enough to want to tune it in. As you proceed with the practice, it becomes a habit and your desire grows as the benefits begin to appear. Desire, properly directed, is the father of all great deeds.
EFFORT, THE SON OF DESIRE AND THE SECRET OF ALL SUCCESS. Effort is the final requirement that is the heart of all accomplishment. Without effort, all that goes before is but a figment of the imagination, a dream that vanishes with the first rays of the morning sun, only one of the intents that are supposed to pave the way to the nether regions.
It is effort that, as it were, separates men from boys. It is effort that makes the difference between the night janitor and the company president. It is effort that took man out of caves and put him on the moon. It is effort that will take the slave called man and make of him a God. And it is effort alone, in the end, that will allow you to partake of the benefits of sexual Re-Creation.
As a physician and minister for over thirty years, I can say without fear of contradiction that the most common human weakness is that of not being able to carry through. We are all good starters, but few of us are good finishers. This is undoubtedly the main reason that are so many followers and so few leaders in the world. A leader is merely one who is a finisher, one who, if he sets himself to a course, sees it through unless there is an overwhelming reason to change.
Most of us are familiar with the Second Law of thermodynamics: Entropy. Under this law we are told that, left to its own devices, all matter will attempt to assume its most simple and stable state. Only by the effect of an outside source of energy is the world kept from falling back into its original state of chaos. So it is with the human nature. Our most simple and stable (stable in that our lower nature leaves us alone) state is that of our basic animalistic nature. Here indolence, procrastination, ignorance, and carnality rule. It takes absolutely no effort to exist in this state. It is not a very desirable state, but is is easily achieved, and this appears to many to be solace for the pain and suffering encountered.
God took chaos and by His desire and effort made the Universe. The Universe continues to exist only by His sustained efforts. If these were withdrawn, by the Law of Entropy the Universe would revert to original chaos. To destroy His creation God has to put forth no effort; He has only to withdraw the efforts He is now constantly making.
So it is with man. To succeed at sexual Re-Creation effort must be constant. If we become indolent, our creation will also gradually revert to chaos.
THE PROCEDURE OF SEXUAL RE-CREATION. For the best results, all sexual Re-Creation should be pursued by a husband and a wife who love one another. Without love, no Re-Creation is possible. Without marriage, no love is sanctified.
The marriage embrace is begun as usual and every effort is made to bring both parties to a state of real desire for the feast that is to come. As entrance begins, the thoughts of the couple should center on some mutually agreed desire. This may be overcoming a health problem of one or the other or it may be a desired goal to improve the family welfare.
The couple should not lose track of the fact that this is a pleasurable act, however, and forget to give to each other the ecstasy that God built into this ritual as a reward for a job well done. The best time to think of the desired objectives is during those rest periods between activity so necessary to prolong the act so that both are satisfied.
During these rest periods the objective to be fulfilled should be concentrated upon as the couple takes in full deep breaths. As the breath is exhaled, they both should hold thoughts of their love for the other.
In our modern materialistic society this procedure must seem very simplistic, but such is the nature of all great Truths. Evil and falsehood alone are complicated, because to survive they must be constantly constructing new reasons and excuses for not being true.
As the loving couple follows this method faithfully, they will be led further. There are many things concerning this that cannot be written. They are reserved only for the faithful.
THE LAW OF SEXUAL RE-GENERATION
As revolutionary as the concept of sexual Re-Creation may be, it palls besides its companion, sexual RE-Generation. While Re-Creation deals exclusively with the material body, Re-Generation addresses itself to the Spiritual part of the human duality. It concerns itself with the Divine Spark or Soul of man.
When the Master of Nazareth was asked what more a man must do to find the Kingdom of God than to obey the Law of the prophets, His answer was short and simple, "Ye must be born again." As this Great Teacher did not use words loosely, we might do well to examine this phrase carefully. The words, born again, if taken at face value, indicate that man must not only be born of the body but of the Spirit. If this is to occur, might it not be possible that God with His previously mentioned frugality might be inclined to use the same creative center for both births? NOT ONLY MIGHT THIS BE SO. IT IS SO.
This is what is meant by the process of Re-Generation: Generation refers to the birth of the physical body, and Re-Generation, or rebirth, to the second birth or the birth of the Spiritual body. Both of these births are made possible by the substance of the Biblical loins or creative center. To the ancients, the phrase, to gird one's loins, meant not so much to put on certain armor, but to protect these vital creative centers from loss of the "seed." The seed refers not so much to the physical semen as to the Spiritual creative forces that also are a vital part of the loins."
Today, such poetic terminology may not find favor with many, but the principles behind this poetry are more vital than ever before, because the weeding out of those who scoff at these disclosures is going on around us. The Law is absolutely no respecter of persons, and it cares not whether the lawbreaker believes in its action or not.
THE BASIC RULES OF SEXUAL RE-GENERATION. All results in the Spiritual sphere come from the activity of three factors: DESIRE, EFFORT, AND TIME.
Before any results toward Spiritual Re-Generation can be accomplished, there must first be a burning desire for such an accomplishment. This Law is not unique to Re-Generation. It is the Law of all success in every field of endeavor. Nothing of value can ever be attained without this creator of polarized vibrations. The Human mind may be likened to a roll of recording tape. At first the magnetic particles are at random angles and the tape produces no usable sound when played back. However, when this tape is passed across a recording head, which is energized by a music signal, these random particles become polarized in a certain order and, when played back, are capable of producing beautiful melodies.
The mind, like recording tape, must be polarized by desire. Desire, however, is like the recording tape in more ways than one. With the recorder we can put any signal we want on the tape. It may be only noise, or it may be the most exalted sounds known to man. It makes little difference to the tape or recorder; they do not know the difference. So it is with the mind and desires. We have the option of polarizing our mind by desire to create good or evil, harmony or dissonance, beauty or ugliness.
Therefore, if we wish to attain Spiritual Re-Generation, a strong DESIRE is the first prerequisite. With this we are able to organize the cells of our brain so that they become magnetized to retain the efforts which follow such DESIRE.
This DESIRE must not be of the fleeting kind if we are to succeed in our efforts. It must become an integral part of our greater being and be with us as a guiding angel in all we do. Such a DESIRE must be fulfilled in the end because there is nothing known that can permanently withstand such a force as long as it is directed in a useful endeavor.
As great a force as desire is, it would be useless without EFFORT on our part to bring it into manifestation. It would be the same as recording a symphony on tape but never playing it back. The potential is there, but no beauty is forthcoming. The music is still present, only it is in embryonic form in the polarized magnetic particles and no vibrations are sent out into the ether so that we may all be thrilled by the harmony of this symphony.
Our desires do little good until we project them into the ether around us. This is our playback. This is man's greatest weakness. Many are able to DESIRE. Few are able to accomplish through EFFORT. There is nothing new in this weakness. It was not without good reason that the Nazarene stated, "Many are called, but few are chosen." Nor that we have the Biblical phrase, "The spirit is willing (we have DESIRE), but the flesh is weak (we are not moved to make EFFORT."
If only there were a magic formula to stimulate us to EFFORT! But there is none. This lack is recognized even in our folklore. Do we not all use the phrase, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."? For this reason, EFFORT has always been the determining factor between success and failure in all facets of life.
Many dedicate themselves to great purpose with the proper desire and effort, but do not feel they are reaping as they have sown. After a certain period of desire and effort without apparent success, they become discouraged and abandon their efforts. This is unfortunate, because these individuals have failed to take into account the last factor, that of TIME. Benjamin Franklin said, "He who can have patience, can have what he will." There is little reason to dispute Old Ben on this matter.
Mankind is by nature impatient. This tends to put his timetable at odds with God's Universe, which has all the time in the world to do its tasks. The wise man learns to adapt to UNIVERSAL TIME if he expects to succeed at anything. After all, there is little chance that God and the Universe will change and adapt to our TIME.
As we are able to set our clocks to God's TIME, a strange thing begins to happen. We find the things that used to bother us greatly now seem so trivial. There is an unexplainable new calmness and a "knowing" that all will work out well in the long run if only we continue to do our part. TIME changes from an enemy to a friend. We find that we no longer need to fight TIME, but can use it as an ally to aid us in all worthy desires.
Truly, we can have what we will when we become the master of TIME. We must learn to know that if we are motivated by the proper DESIRE, put forth the required EFFORT, and are willing to harmonize with God's TIME, we must eventually succeed in reaching our goal - even if that goal be Spiritual Re-Generation.
THE PROCEDURE OF RE-GENERATION. Because of the esoteric nature of this regenerative process, only a hint of the full method can be given here. However, at the end of this section information will be included so that the sincere seeker may learn more.
The most important consideration in sexual Re-Generation is to remember that all we have been taught to this point must be applied before Re-Generation can be attempted. The same caveats given for sexual Re-Creation are equally essential here. No Spiritual structure can be built on an infirm foundation.
During the rest periods in the sexual union, the desire for Spiritualization should fill the hearts of both the husband and the wife. This is especially true with the inhaled breath. During exhalation love and health should be sent to all mankind.
This method will seem simplistic to most modern minds, but that is its strength. Power is not concentrated in complexity but in simplicity. Any chemist knows that little energy is released when a loosely bound complex compound is taken apart, but tremendous force is available if he separates a simple compound with a firm bond. Thus, it is in Spiritual exercise; by working with the simplest of emotions and feelings, we can release great power if we are sincere and faithful in our efforts.

THE LURE OF THE WORLD
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." I John 2:15-17
It is difficult to see how the message of the time can be more clearly or succinctly stated than John has done. He describes most plainly the differences between the ways of the world and the ways of God. They are, at this time, under two separate Laws. To love one is to hate the other, and vice versa. The Law laid down by the Nazarene is explicit, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."
If this is true, and there is nothing in Biblical or Arcane literature to contradict it, one may readily ask, Why are we here in the first place if we do not belong? The answer to this question is long and complicated, but some illumination of the subject may be given by explaining that when we came for a visit, we broke the laws of our new country and have been incarcerated until we can prove that we have become repentant and rehabilitated.
Perhaps this concept can be clarified by a little story: We live in a nice town in a beautiful country. Everything we could wish for is provided to us and our weather is perpetually ideal. If there is anything to complain about, it is the fact that everything is somewhat dull. Inwardly, we long for a little variety. The founder and present leader of our society is not without understanding and he is sympathetic to our plight.
Someone, we were never quite sure who, suggested we take a trip to a foreign country and we suddenly became enthusiastic about the idea. Our leader was not opposed, but warned us to be careful of the water and to be aware that the rules in another country might not be the same as at home. An electric enthusiasm spread through us all. We looked forward to our first vacation. We found the new country a real treat. Of course, it was much cruder than the one we were used to. In the early years, we would stay only a short time and then go back home. But as time passed, we found ourselves staying longer and longer. There were in this land many things that were not available at home, and we enjoyed them greatly. Unfortunately, there were laws against exporting them and at first we followed these laws to the letter as we had promised our beloved leader.
One day, however, one of our number began to assure us that we did not have to be so careful. He said that he had it on good authority that we could easily sidestep the laws of the hick country and we would not be touched because we were from the great country above. His argument sounded reasonable, and many of our countrymen started to make plans to smuggle some of the forbidden "fruit" back into our own land. Eventually, the lure of increased pleasure become so great that we all became criminals to this extent. As we came to the border we all had such angelic expressions on our faces we were sure no one would suspect our crime. Such was not to be, however, and we were discovered. We were all trudged off to jail to await trail.
We had not seen this part of the foreign country before. It was not particularly to our liking, but the officials seemed not to care. Whereas before our every whim had been catered to, now all that was changed. We were allowed to contact our leader, but he was not particularly helpful. As he said he had warned us of the consequences of breaking the law. Now that we had disobeyed, we were no longer under his jurisdiction and had to abide by the rules of our new masters. This was quite a revolting development, but we could only await our fate. We did not have to wait long. Soon we all came before the judge, and his sentence was short but not very sweet.
"You all are to be imprisoned in our country and must work at hard labor until you have proven to your own leader that you are repentant and completely rehabilitated. Until that time you will be fed, clothed, and housed only according to work that you personally do. You will in truth only reap as you have sown."
A harsh punishment, but fair. After all, we had been warned. It was no one's fault that we had not listened.
We, every one on earth, of course, are the prisoners of this not so fanciful story. Our original land was in the Heavens above, but we became bored and so began our frequent "vacations" to Earth. All was well until we broke the laws of our "new" abode. Now we are imprisoned in a foreign land and can return only by rejecting the ways of the crude environment and proving to our Heavenly Father that we are fit to once again inhabit our original homeland.
With each incarnation we have a new opportunity to prove our ability to reject the ways of the world and return to the obedience of our past life. This is not to say that everything in the world is bad. This is not so, but at least ninety-nine percent of the worldly nature is counter to the ways of Truth and Honor.
We are forced to visit this "jail" of Earth until we have paid all our debts and have rehabilitated ourselves. Under the rules of our incarceration, laid down ages ago, only we are allowed to do this. There is no other way.
We, the REAL we, are not inherently of the Earth. We are but tourists here, and for that reason the various admonitions concerning the world have been given by so many of God's prophets.
The traveler to a foreign land should enjoy the sights and wonders but never become entangled in the internal political affairs of that nation. To do so is to court certain trouble, from which he may not be able to extricate himself. He is there to enjoy and experience. So it is with our "visit" to the Earth. If we ever aspire to return home, we must not enter into worldly affairs, but remain aloof but compassionate.
As true as this concept was in Biblical days, it is many times truer today. The Devil of Revelation is now unleashed upon the world, and he is eager to draw as many into his camp as he can. His ways are most seductive and he can just as readily "catch you in his net" when you feel you are helping to improve the world as he can when you give way to your lusts.
Because the ways of the world are seductive, many of pure heart are drawn in although their intentions are otherwise. We may think of the world as a huge ship that is starting to sink. As it goes down, it creates an enormous whirlpool that pulls down with it all small boats that are near. It is most important at this time not to be a small boat near the whirlpool. We do not, therefore, need to be on the Great Ship of the World to go down with it. This is the message of this time. Many innocents, like Lot's Wife, will be turned to salt because THEY LOOKED BACK AND DID NOT COMPLETELY PUT THE WAYS OF THE WORLD BEHIND THEM AT THIS TIME.
Admittedly, this is a hard saying, but it is truth and cannot be avoided. This does not mean that we cannot be of service to our fellowman during our tenure on Earth. On the contrary, it is required of us. But it does mean that in doing so we must not partake of the weaknesses of the Earth.
Our assistance must be in two forms: First, we must provide and example, by our own life, of our homeland ethics and morals. (In the same way a good tourist promotes his own country.) Second, the world is the board upon which we play the game of life. It is here in our relationships with others that we develop ourselves. As we do, we should engage in some useful work so that we can always pay our own way. If we do not, we can in no wise earn our way back home.
In our work in the world we are to emulate our own Creator and be no respecter of persons. We are not to judge others but to spread the good that we do in the same fashion that Almighty God disperses the sunshine.
In the last analysis we are to consider ourselves as emissaries of another world who have come to Earth to help elevate the people of Earth to our level. In doing so, we must ever be careful that they do not pull us down to their level.
A FEW LAST WORDS OF CAUTION
The New Renaissance is upon us. Those who, because of basic ignorance or incorrigible evil, remain with the ways of the world in the next decade or two will be found wanting. According to the Laws they have brought into operation by their own actions, they will be removed from the Cycle of Life and Death for a time. Although they will have another opportunity in the future, it will not come soon.
The vortex of the whirlpool will carry many with it who
might have remained had they been more selective of their friends.
This warning is given in due time, but the time is not long to
change. Habits, once established, do not convert easily. Think
well of your own life now. Are you in danger? The whirlwind is
beginning to form and soon it will be of such magnitude that few
there be who will be able to resist it if they are in close proximity.
