Introduction to Christian Mysticism. This is a six-week course
that will introduce new students to the teachings of Christian
Mysticism. Each class introduces a different central them from
the teachings given in the Tree of Life classes. They are given
in a clear and simple way so that the students can truly get a
sense of them. The six classes are on: Introduction to the Inner
Path; Prayer; Blessing; Meditation; Light and Soul. The second
half of each class is, as in the ongoing Tree of Life classes,
given to hands on experience of the spiritual world. Students
who attend all six classes will generally feel ready to decide
if they want to continue on in their studies with this Order.
If they wish to continue on, they will then be welcomed to attend
the ongoing Tree of Life and Bible Contemplation classes. Weds.:

The Denver Theosophical Society
We are a local study center of a worldwide organization founded
upon the idea that the Universe and all that exists within it
are one inter-related and interdependent whole, meaning that every
existent being--from atom to galaxy--is rooted in the same universal
life-creating Reality. This Reality pervades everything in existence,
but also transcends all outer expressions of it. It can be found
in the purposeful, ordered, and meaningful processes of nature
as well as in the deepest recesses of the mind and spirit. Recognition
of this idea results in reverence for life, compassion for all,
and sympathy with others to find truth for themselves.
Theosophical ideas are presented as a body of teachings which
each student is invited to think over and then accept, reject
or reserve judgment as he or she thinks best. No dogmas are imposed--in
fact, theosophy points toward the source of unity beyond all differences.
While theosophy covers a vast number of topics, the main themes
include brotherhood, spiritual evolution via reincarnation and
karma, service to others, the energetic components of man and
the universe, and the oneness of all life. Typical avenues for
seeking truth include study, meditation and service.
We usually meet twice per month, and most programs are open
to the public. There is usually no cost, but donations are appreciated.
